The two words you seldom hear together in the healthcare field are dietitians and respect. Why is that, exactly?
Is it because dietitians happen to be one of the few exclusively female professions? I believe so. It is ironic, though, because most of the hospital beds in any given hospital are filled with people who have diet-related health problems.
What can we do about this? Plenty, as it turns out.
I want to encourage everyone who cares about our obesity and diabetes healthcare crisis to listen to the podcast and write to me with your suggestions about changing our healthcare system to one that is focused on the prevention of these chronic diseases.
You can send me a note on my website contact page, which is healingoutsidethebox.com/contact-us
I need help with a diabetic meal plan!! My husband has diabetes type 2 he is on medicine but I really need a diabetic diet to follow for him!! He can’t eat seafood he’s allergic!! Can you help me or send me in the right direction please !! I need it to say just what to eat for a meal plan.
Thanks.
Your husband is now one of almost 50 million people with diabetes in this country. But I sincerely believe that we can reverse this trend if we place a high priority on improving the food that is available to us. I can help you and your husband get on the right path to a healthier diet. If you email me at jtiberioj14@gmail.com with his food preferences and other specific information about his medical condition, I will respond and give you some tips and recipes. I believe it would also help to have telephone conversations to set up specific goals for his eating habits.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
