Back in 1995, 2 dietitians came up with something called intuitive eating theory and wrote a book about it. Most dietitians that were asked about this, did not give it a thumbs-up rating. And that is because dietitians did not think that the right approach would be to “eat whatever you want, whenever you want”. That could obviously get misinterpreted. It appears as though we finally come to the agreement that the goal of listening to your intuition to tell you when you are hungry is not the same goal as losing weight. They are 2 different goals that intercept. Once we understand that, this book makes a lot more sense.
If you are interested in buying the book to read it for yourself, the link to the 4th edition of their book can be found here.
These 2 dietitians (Evelyn Tribole and Else Resch) also have a workbook that can be found here.
There is a magazine article by Jessica Jones that clarifies the 2 separate goals for us. If you’re interested in this topic, I recommend that you give it a read.
As always, if you have any questions or want to speak to a nutritionist/health and wellness coach about anything regarding eating behavior, feel free to visit me on my website contact page at Healing outside the box.
There is noticeably a bunch to identify about this. I assume you made certain nice points in features also. Donica Hazel Iridis
